While the award-winning itineraries are undoubtedly the highlight of a Silver Explorer cruise the level of service, cuisine and crew are simply second to none.
The Silver Explorer vessel has been carefully designed to be able to navigate waters in some of the world’s most remote destinations, its strengthened hull allows it to effortlessly float through ice floes and take you to some of the world’s greatest off-the-beaten path destinations. Its practicality doesn’t mean it misses out on any of the signature Silversea cruising hallmarks though. As with all Silversea cruises, each passenger is assigned a butler, a level of luxury not often seen on board an expedition cruise. Imagine returning from a day of exploring to a hot, scented bubble bath thoughtfully prepared by your suite attendant – this is a reality on board a Silver Explorer cruise.
Since being refurbished in 2018, Silver Explorer also hosts a fleet of 12 Zodiacs, so you can visit places that bigger ships simply can’t reach, and a guest to crew capacity of almost 1:1.
While daytimes are dedicated to expedition exploration, free time on board a Silver Explorer expedition can be spent in a variety of ways. Further discover the destinations of your cruise by attending an enriching lecture by the Expedition Team, relax in the Panorama Lounge or indulge in a traditional afternoon tea.
Enjoy the theatre of lava stone cooking at The Grill where you can cook your food directly at your table to your own taste, or indulge in the understated luxury of The Restaurant, brimming with elegance and impeccable service. Menus here feature regional specialities unique to your voyage.
Bars & Lounges
Silver Explorer offers many cosy corners to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif or a nightcap. Head to the Panorama Lounge for cocktail-hour tapas and stunning ocean views, while cognac enthusiasts will appreciate the Connoisseur’s Corner.
When you’re not out on an expedition getting to know the heart of your destination, there’s plenty of activities to enjoy on board Silversea’s Silver Explorer. Relax with a good book in Tor’s Observation Library or enjoy a pampering session at the spa.
Head to the Explorer Lounge for intriguing tales of adventure and inspiring stories of the region’s wildlife or catch a movie at The Theatre. Evening entertainment is understated to allow the incredible expeditions of your cruise to shine.
